Who You Will Talk To

When you reach out through Remainingunit Roofing, you end up speaking with an independent roofing provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. It is not part of Remainingunit Roofing, and it sets its own prices, schedule and terms.

We pass along your request. After that, the conversation is between you and the provider.

What Happens on the First Call

Expect a short, practical chat. The provider will likely ask:

  • What you see, such as stains, leaks, missing shingles or sagging
  • How old the roof is, if you know
  • What kind of roof and siding the home has
  • Whether a recent storm played a part

Have your address handy. Photos taken safe from the ground can help a lot. Please do not climb up to take them. A wet or steep roof is risky, and the provider has the gear to inspect it safely.

The provider may then set up a visit and write an estimate.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

These questions help a first-time homeowner compare quotes fairly:

  • Is your license and insurance current? Can I see proof?
  • What exactly does the quote include, from tear-off to cleanup?
  • What material and brand are you quoting?
  • What happens if you find rotted decking once the old roof is off?
  • How are payments scheduled?
  • Is there a written warranty on the workmanship and the materials, and what does it cover?
  • Who handles permits?

Save the answers. Put the quotes next to each other and look at the differences.

You Are in Control

Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can ask for more detail, get other quotes or take your time. A good provider will not rush you. If a quote feels vague, ask for it in writing with more line items.

You can also say no. There is no obligation.
